Instagram Business Checkouts
On March 19, 2019 Instagram introduced a new product feature called Checkout for Instagram Shoppers across their network. Instagram reports it’s Checkout will be more secure and a faster process to purchase on its platform.
• Instagram has completed a recent update to your Explore page to include product shopping 🛍 tags in Stories and your Feed as an option to discover Instagram accounts using Checkouts. • Instagram reports there are currently 130 million Instagrammers tapping to reveal product tags in shopping posts each month.
• Instagram states whether it's saving a product for later, sharing it with a friend for feedback or buying it then and there they want the users to stay within their platform. • Instagram reports, Checkout enhances the shopping experience by making the purchase simple, convenient and secure. Instagrammers no longer have to navigate the browser when they want to buy. Instagram Checkout will secure their protected payment information in one place. • Instagrammers can shop their favorite brands without needing to log in and enter their information multiple times. • Instagram Checkout is currently in Beta Mode with some of our favorite brands like: @Revolve @niketraining @burberry
• There’s a total of 20 other brands that will be using Instagram’s Beta Checkout with the next few days. • Checkout is just one part of Instagram’s commitment and long term investment in shopping on its platform. In the near future Instagram will announce even more ways for people to enjoy shopping on Instagram this year. • Instagrammers will be able to pay with Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and PayPal. • For brands, access to checkout will be limited during this closed beta. Instagram will expand Checkouts to other business partners to integrate directly with including Shopify, BigCommerce, ChannelAdvisor, CommerceHub, and more in the future.
